Polygon Descriptions
The Polygon descriptions tab contains the Polygon descriptions data grid. You use the Polygon descriptions data grid to select the descriptions fields that are output to Microsoft Project.
Note: When you output polygon descriptions to Microsoft Project, the descriptions are taken from the polygon file defined in the mining method for the locations. To output polygon descriptions, you must:
- select Benches / polygons / solids for the Level of detail
- use Polygons or Bench polygons for the mining method
- use a polygon file that supports additional attributes to define the polygons or bench polygons for mining

| Use polygon descriptions in name |
- Selected: The description field text replaces the polygon string number in the name of the task in Microsoft Project.
- Cleared: The description field text does not replace the polygon string number in the name of the task in Microsoft Project.
Note: To include the description field, text must be unique to each string number. If the description field value is the same for multiple string numbers, the Output to Project function fails.

- Selected: The description field is output to Microsoft Project.
- Cleared: The description field is not output to Microsoft Project.
 Tip: When you clear the Active check box, the description field is not output to Microsoft Project but the output parameter is not deleted.

There are 30 additional text fields in Microsoft Project that you can choose to store the description field information.
